Parts of Rocky Mountain National Park have recently been re-opened, so I jumped at the opportunity to go exploring. After referencing the map, I decided to make an attempt to visit a couple of lakes in the high country that rarely get visitors. On this 25 mile journey, I enjoyed the peace and quiet of alpine lakes, napping in the sun, and making friends with the local gray jays. Although it was immensely difficult, it was strikingly beautiful and I hope to make it back here one day.
