Nathan Wood

Landscape Photographer | Videographer

Nathan Wood is a professional landscape photographer who enjoys photographing the beauty of nature and getting lost in the mountains.

His interest in photography started when he got his first smart phone freshman year of high school. He often went around trying to find unique angles with his phone’s camera and this enabled him to look at the world in a new way. He was enthused by this technology but disappointed by the lack of abilities it possessed. This caused him to invest in a smartphone app that allowed him to control the camera’s functions such as shutter speed and aperture.  

Nathan went on to attend Principia College in Elsah, IL. During freshman year of college, he bought his first DSLR camera—a Canon Rebel T6—and enrolled in a class on beginner photography. Over his four years, he completed all the photography courses that were offered including a study abroad program in Greece, Turkey, and Italy. He graduated in 2020 with a Bachelors Degree in Digital Media Production; combining aspects of Photography, Music Production, and Graphic Design.  

Nathan is currently working in Estes Park, Colorado at McGregor and Castle Mountain Lodges and is continuing to pursue his passion for photography while exploring Rocky Mountain National Park and other areas of the western United States.
