Aspen Under Smoky Skies

One after the other, gusts of wind smacked against the rock face, throwing me around like a napkin in an abandoned parking lot, penetrating my cocoon of warmth with its icy fingers. A glimmer on the horizon brought hope of warmth and safety. Before long, the first rays of morning light set the mountains aflame with glow. I sat happily and soaked in the comforting warmth as this scene unfolded infront of me.
